Blog: The Time Value of Money

Sometimes driving across town isn’t worth the cost of gas & the time spent on the errand. On a recent trip to Europe I was thinking about saving money by staying at a less expensive hotel that was off the tried & true path. Once I worked on the planes, trains, & taxis that it would take to get me to where I wanted to go, I realized the cost would far outweigh the savings (let alone the time it would cut into my few days in this specific place). If I’m up for a journey & enjoying the process, going across town is no big deal. Sometimes it’s worth it, sometimes it isn’t, it just depends what my goals are at the time.
