Blog: Work With What You Have
I have learned to work what I’ve got & do the best I can with what I have to work with. I am a natural born redhead with blue eyes & fair skin. For a while I used fake tanner. There have been attempts of sunbathing, but this only leads to crispy skin. So, I generally have three options: Oompa Loompa orange, red as a lobster, or see through white. I have had some wonderful men in my life who have said things that have made an impact on me. One said that my skin was his favorite color. Wow. That one got me to just embrace it. Another one told me that I have a stand out look, it’s unique & I should work it! I am all for taking what you were given & doing the best you can with it – you know, dying your hair, working-out, doing the best with what you’ve got; however, some things won’t change – like the fact that I’m 5’3¾“. I can wear heels, but my height is something that isn’t changing. I’ve decided to embrace what I’ve got. I dye my eyebrows red, & I started getting individual false eyelashes. This helps me to feel way better. I’ve embraced my fair skin & red hair. (I found a better looking fake tanner that I use sometimes where the color looks better with my packaging).
Do what you can with what you’ve got & embrace what you can’t change. A positive self-image is one of the most attractive things in the world. Confidence is incredibly powerful!
